Hoopin' it up

After months of playing on Anabelle's little tykes basketball hoop, John decided to get a grown-up sized basketball hoop for himself. It was quite a project to put it together and because of interruptions from children it took a few days. We only "lost" 1 socket, when Anabelle decided to drop it into the tiny hole for water in the base. Ah the joys of having a toddler "help" you build.

Charlotte and I did a lot of watching :)

Charlotte's 1st Cubs game

On Wednesday we took Charlotte and Anabelle to see the Cubs take on the Atlanta Braves, it was Charlotte's 1st game. It was a cold day, but we bundled up and had a great time.

Before leaving the house I snapped some pictures of the girls in their Cubs gear.

We had great seats, which helped Anabelle to see what what going on and therefore be a little more interested. Here we are all bundled up like it's winter -but in May!

Charlotte did pretty good, for the 1st part of the game she was strapped to me in the Baby Bjorn, then once she realized I had stopped walking she woke up and was MAD! After getting out of the carrier, a diaper change, and her pacifier she was happily back to sleep again for the rest of the game. The cold didn't seem to bother her :)

Cubs Win!!! Anabelle loved all the songs they played at the ballpark.

Some of our favorite people

We had a visit from some of our favorite people 2 weekends ago. The Mitchell Family took the train into town to spend some time with us! We hadn't met baby Everett yet, so we were especially excited to have them come. He is the cutest little boy, full of laughter and energy and just a joy to watch and be around! I mean just look at him, he's adorable -there is no denying it!

Of course I was excited to see Marena too, between both of us having babies, it had been 8 months since we had seen each other. Probably the longest we have gone since knowing each other. So you can imagine how nice it was to be around my buddy again.

Adam and Marena can't come to town without people wanting to see them, so of course we had some visitors! My Mom and Dad came by for breakfast on Saturday, and then Saturday evening Darcy, Eric, Matt and Melissa came by to hang out. Everyone got roped into playing with Anabelle at one point or another. Our friends are such good sports! Here is Eric having fun at the easel with Anabelle.

Charlotte hadn't met her Aunt Marena yet... she doesn't know it yet but she will have hours of fun with her Auntie!

It was so nice to get the 3 girls back together for some catching up. Darcy & Eric are planning a wedding and Marena and I are her bridesmaids. We had lots to talk about and fun details to plan. I always have fun with these 2!

Adam spending some quality time with Charlotte.

Everett and the girls had fun playing!

Such a cute family!

My Mom adored Everett and had a great time playing with him.

I just love this picture! They look so cute, both playing side by side.

Wait Anabelle, don't go.

Darcy with her new man!

Darcy introduces Everett to Eric.

What a great little boy! We just loved meeting him! Thanks for coming Adam and Marena, we can't wait for our next visit!

Doing great here at the Delaney household, busy as usual. This past weekend we had a visit from our friends Marena and Adam and their sweet little boy Everett. We all had a great time! I have lots of pictures to share but just haven't uploaded them yet. Till then here are some random pictures from the last few weeks.

Mom and Dad watched the girls while John and I had our first night out. We went to a Cubs game to celebrate John's brother Joe's birthday. It was my first time sitting in the rooftops across the street from Wrigley. It was a lot of fun, especially with all you can eat and all you can drink. I've gotta work on building my tolerance back up, 2 beers and I am loopy :)

Joe and Kari
Happy Birthday Joe!

We finally got a double stroller. The day John put it together Anabelle was so excited about it she wanted to sit in it all day. She was so happy to eat her snack and watch a show in her new stroller. Since then we have taken it on a few walks and to the store. It is nice to have both girls in one stroller, but it does feel a little like you are driving a bus.

Miss Charlotte has gotten much more smiley. Finally one night I caught it on camera. She is so cute!

Hanging out, doing some tummy time.

Anabelle playing in the morning, sometimes the "outfits" and props she puts together are hilarious.

That's a flashlight she's shining at me.

Morgan has become so desperate for attention he has finally started allowing Anabelle to pet him. She loves it and follows him around the house trying to pet him.

We had beautiful weather today, so we broke out the sandals. Anabelle kept calling them her "sand shoes", gotta love toddler talk.

Looking at all of these pictures, I am realizing how many of them have Anabelle in pajamas. I assure you, we do get dressed around here. (At least a few days a week -lol!)
