On Friday we celebrated my Dad's birthday! My Mom and Dad came over for dinner, presents, and of course -desert. Love that face, can it get any better than cake and ice cream?!
I love this picture- it looks like she is waiting for the Easter Bunny to come. I have lots of Easter stuff around for Anabelle to play with and she likes to carry the Easter basket around the house putting random stuff in it. Here she is doing one of her favorite things; looking out the window/door for any dogs that might be outside. She is completely OBSESSED with dogs lately. Our neighbors both have dogs and if she hears them bark she barks back. Also if we are outside she has to go over and see if the dogs are outside too.
On Sunday I went to a baby shower for John's cousin Denise. She is expecting a baby boy in May, and her nursery is going to be monkey themed. I decided to make the new baby a little monkey onesie. I love how it turned out! Next I will be working on a turtle onesie for another friend expecting a baby in May, I'll let you know how it turns out.
Last year when we moved into our house Anabelle was still crawling around so we didn't do to much in the backyard besides lay on a blanket and swim in the baby pool. This year she is running around with energy that could go on for hours! So we have been thinking of all the fun things we can do in the backyard to entertain her. It is still too cold to get out the baby pool, so we thought we'd start with a sandbox. After looking around a bit I found this turtle one at Garden Ridge for $30. It is the cheapest price I found, I didn't know how expensive sandboxes were! I love that it has a lid so that we can keep the rain, leaves, and any animals out of it. After a trip to the dollar store to get some shovels, rakes, and buckets, and a trip to Menards to get some sand, we were ready to play. Anabelle loves it!
Tomorrow I leave to go to the Bahamas! I will be gone till next Monday, I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to post when I get back. Hope you all have a great week!
