On my Mom's side of the family my brother and I are the only children, so we have no cousins on that side. On my Dad's side of the family we have 9 cousins, but they all live far away. Growing up, we didn't visit them much and so therefore I don't really remember a lot of times when we would play with them. We did have a lot of friends that were like family. The closest thing I had to cousins were good family friends like the Palamara's, and I do remember a lot of good times spent playing with them. John grew up with LOTS of cousins on both his Mom and his Dad's side that he saw often, he was lucky.
John's brother Mike and his wife Mary live in Houston and have 4 children. We don't get to see them often, but they are wonderful kids and we have loved seeing them grow up. As Anabelle's only cousins I was anxious for her to get to spend some time with them, especially now that she is getting older.
The gang came over to visit while we were in town. I was a little surprised by how much I loved watching Anabelle play with her cousins. It made me wish that we could see them more often. I hope that even though we are far apart, she is still able to form a special bond with them, and will always look forward to the times they are together.
Grandpa cooled down the hot tub and Dominick, Giana and Anabelle went in for a dip while Aunt Mary and John looked on.
Anabelle shows her cousins her newest obsession... watching YouTube videos!
Getting 5 kids to pose for a picture is no easy task.
