I started out day 2 by relaxing in a lounge chair while staring out at the ocean. It was heavenly!
Here is my view, the water is so blue! Later that morning I saw some dolphins swimming and jumping around in the ocean.
Around 12:30 we arrived in Freeport, and I left the ship to head to my excursion-snorkeling. I have been snorkeling before in Hawaii and wasn't that impressed. John had been snorkeling in the Bahamas prior to this and recommended it, saying it was much better than Hawaii. So I signed up for a 3 hour catamaran trip.
Our tour guides told us that Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed on the island, I had to snap a picture of this boat. I wonder if it was in the movie?
Here is everyone in the water snorkeling, all of the dark parts of the water you see are reef. That is where the fish are. It was great! Lots of colorful fish, sea animals, plants and shells. Our guides brought along fish food, so we got to see lots and lots of fish.
One of the guides dove down and pulled out a few conch shells. Here he is cleaning them up on the back of the boat. He was nice enough to give one to me. It is pretty smelly, but I love having a shell from the exact spot I was snorkeling!
After a long day of snorkeling and sight seeing on Freeport, it was time to get back on the ship and have some dinner. It was formal night, here I am all dressed up with Mom and Dad.
After dinner a lot of people from the group went to a lounge area where they played 70s and 80s music! My favorite, here are Stephanie and I rocking out!
Nassau tomorrow!
